The Fashion Experience: What to Expect
When you pick up a magazine, you find yourself thinking about how beautiful the photo is or the model or the clothing or makeup in the shot. Maybe it’s your favourite magazine or maybe it’s a new title that caught your attention, either way something about that image made you pick up that publication. It is probably rare or never that you as a consumer find yourself contemplating the amount of people who went into creating the image that caught your eye.
Now that I’ve got you wondering what this glamorous industry looks like behind-the-scenes, let me tell you how you can experience each element first-hand in a live immersive fashion experience coming to you February 2019.
On Saturday, February 2nd, 2019, we present to you a full day of available fashion experiences. In the morning we are hosting a Cover Shoot Masterclass where two Editors in Chief of two of your favourite or soon-to-be-favourite magazines will talk us through their cover editorial processes, detailing the impressive amount of people and talents that comprise any one cover of their coveted magazines. Watch as we demonstrate a mock-cover shoot for our live audience and take the rare opportunity to directly address your questions to these industry experts.
In the evening, our FSE show will open with multiple spaces available to guests throughout the evening. After all guests have had the opportunity to walk our red carpet and have their photo taken, you can take the time to enjoy, sip, and relax in our Lounge. Over in our Behind-the-Scenes (BTS) room, indulge yourself in the world of hair, makeup, styling, and more as our models are prepped live. Observe what really goes on behind the scenes of a high-end photoshoot. Everything comes together on our Main Stage. In this show room we have CTV’s charismatic Melissa Grelo as our official emcee introducing each element of the evening as we stage a theatrical version of a live high-end photoshoot complete with photographers, videographers, Canadian designers, and more. Watch the editorial photoshoot unfurl as you exist and engage as if inside the pages of the magazine itself.
